What happens in a session?
In young people’s hypnotherapy I use a combination of stories, metaphor and creative imagery to enable the young person to begin to think differently about their situation. As the way they think about things changes, their behaviours and actions follow. Within hypnosis it is possible to not only learn more helpful ways of managing difficulties but also rehearse new ways of thinking and being, within the safety of trance, before taking these new found skills out into the world.
The sessions may also include a more structured approach, that will be more reflective of my adult work.
Every session is uniquely tailored to meet the young person’s unique profile including their level of maturity and special interests.
